MBD Rice, Lavender and Yogurt are no longer in production, the last manufacturing month is in early 2010
Any of the three flavors above that you find with recent manufacturing dates are 100% fakes. |

Regular Chocolate masks are no longer in production in boxes of 10s, the only way you can get it is from 12pc packs (6 Rose 6 Choco). Any regular chocolate masks manufactured recently in boxes of 10s are definitely fakes.
Same for Cherry Chocolate masks, they are no longer in production. Recently produced Cherry Chocolate masks are definitely fakes. |

Premium MBD Truffle and Platinum masks are now sold in boxes of 4s with improved mask sheets (blue color).
Boxes in 6s with recent manufacturing dates are definitely fakes. |

The newly upgraded original MBD masks are thinner and tear more easily. In fact, the thinner the mask sheet, the better the quality because it allows easier and faster absorption of the essence. The cost price of each regular box of my beauty diary masks (10pcs a box) in Taiwan is around NT189 - NT199.
Even when you purchase in quantities of a thousand boxes, you can only get a slight discount because Uni-President Company Taiwan (Tong Yi) has strict price control and they do not ship overseas.
After including shipping costs to Singapore, the price of each mask is approximately SGD$1.00
There is no way you can get the masks below $1.00 unless they are
A) Expiring soon.
B) Clearance sale.
C) Fakes.
Many my beauty diary masks we have seen in Singapore retail shops, flea markets, sprees, blogshops etc. are selling at attractive prices ranging from $0.80 - $1.10 and can even offer free postage and free gifts. Once again, please refer to points A, B and C above. |
